About the author
Bruce Hodges was born in Oklahoma. He holds a Master in Health Care Administration and a Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of Kansas. He practiced Family Medicine, including delivering babies. Dr. Hodges has held positions as Director of the Department of Health, Deputy Coroner, Chief of Medical Services, attending physician Juvenille Detention Home - all in Johnson County, Kansas. He has served on various local boards of directors, such as American Cancer Society, Kansas Public Health Association, American Red Cross, etc. He conducted the world's largest study on smoking, which included 85,000 school children in the Kansas City area. He has led multiple medical mission trips to Africa and was recipient of the Heart of America Humanitarian award in Medicine for his work with African Children.
