HOW AFRICA WILL SAVE THE WORLD

THE STORY

In the House of Commons, one afternoon in May 1823, Fowell Buxton, Member of the English Parliament burst out with great emotion, “It is written in the book of Isaiah that Egypt (the black man) shall stretch his hands to the lord and be saved. The time has come!”

Around this time, the British had criminalized slave trade and ship of its squadron had delivered African recaptives from the hands of their abductors to Freetown, Sierra Leone. Freed from shackles and brought to the knowledge of Christ.

Thus rose the first generation of the disciples of Christ in sub Saharan Africa who looked forward to the revival of their land- the land, awash with the blood of innocent victims, filled with darkness. As they had hoped there came a revival. In 1918, the year of grave calamity when the world reeled from influenza, a certain praying team in Ijebu Ode, inspired by the testimony of the Faith Movement in America had dared to want more. And there came many testifiers. The Great Revival of 1930 which commenced in the town of Ilesa spread across the land as the roaring lions screamed the name of Christ to the darkness of Africa. One evening several years later, another of them who exercised the power of Christ, in the middle of a public address declared,

We give you one kobo, and now we say take two…… for the glory of two is greater than one.

The fathers prayed for a revival and now they get it in hundred folds- a greater future than they had dreamed of. The Agenda of Christ for Africa.

We plan to tell this story in an event of multimedia and live presentation of documentaries, interviews, opera, orchestra, and impactful word exposition like no other. Our goal is to impact in live and broadcast participants, the agenda of our lord Jesus Christ as stated in numerous hymns such as these;

Prepared I have ye servants
