Bob’s Biography
It seems Bob Schaffer has been putting words to paper and print most of his life. In the early 1950’s, Bob had a weekly column in his hometown newspaper, The Arlington Herald, in Arlington Heights, Illinois. In 1963, he attended the Defense Department’s Information Officer’s Course on David’s Island off the coast of New Rochelle, New York. Bob began his career in regional trade magazines in the early 1960‘s with The Western Builder magazine in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. And later, after his stint in the military, with magazines on our Pacific Coast, like the Pacific Builder & Engineer, Seattle, the Oregon Logger’s Association magazine The Log in Springfield, Oregon, and the California Builder & Engineer in South San Francisco, California, (now in Palo Alto.)
Bob now brings his many years of magazine writing experience, and his lifelong desire to create and write fiction, to this - his second Wade Dellums western adventure novel, “Horses, Rifles & Other Loves”
