Description
"Hell of a Hand" is the story of the Legendary Roberts Rodeo family. It is also a love story about Gerald and Enes Roberts, a world champion cowboy and his Italian wife who never saw a rodeo. The book lists many famous cowboys in the 1940s and 1950s. This is a book for rodeo fans, cowboys, cowgirls, and anyone who loves romance and history. Their love story was fueled by a love of rodeo and Gerald's rodeo family—primarily Emmett Roberts (E. C.); his wife Clara; and their children Ken, Gerald, and Marge.
About the author
When I was young, I was a trick and fancy rider in rodeos around the United States. My family was in rodeo, too. My father, Gerald Roberts, was an all-around World Champion Cowboy in 1942 and 1948. My Aunt Marge was a bronc rider and trick rider. My Uncle, Ken Roberts, was a bull rider and stock contractor as was my grandfather, E. C. Roberts. I grew up either at a rodeo or at the racetrack. My sister Lala and I had a great life as trick rodeo riders, and we still love horses to this day.
