About The Author


Steven Van Patten is a celebrated writer and Brooklyn native. His Brookwater's Curse trilogy features a 1860s Georgia plantation slave who becomes law enforcement within the vampire community. His Killer Genius series features a hyper-intelligent black woman who uses high-end technology and a myriad of disguises to become a socially conscious serial killer. Killer Genius: She Kills Because She Cares was nominated for an African-American Literary Award in 2016. SVP's short fiction includes contributions to horror anthologies like Hell's Kitties, Hell's Heart and New York State of Fright. There's also a children's book, Rudy's Night Out, based on the childhood of a character from the Brookwater's Curse series. He can be found on Facebook by name and under @svpthinks on Twitter and Instagram. When he's not creating macabre literature, he can be found stage managing television shows in New York City and across the USA.
