Overview
Why another book about heaven? Believe me, there are thousands and thousands of articles about heaven. Generally, people are curious about what life will be like after death. This is not a book about the end times, although it will reference some thinking involved with that subject. This book intends to help all of us get a sense of what life might consist of for eternity. The big question that might drive interest is this: Is heaven our home? That question alone can be very dangerous to ask even before one decides to read the contents of this book. Another question of interest: "Are Christians putting their life on hold until eternity starts? This book examines a great number of scriptures from both Old and New Testament. You may find some unconventional thinking about some familiar scripture. Your response and input is certainly welcome. I am sure this is not the last word on the subject.
Description
What if heaven was more than you ever expected? What if eternity wasn't an endless worship service but a life more alive than anythig we've ever known? What if the future God has prepared for us is richer, fuller, more meaningful than we've dared to imagine?
The Bible doesn't leave us without clues. It speaks of a glorious future -- a future marked by abudance, purpose, and joy. The apostle Peter called it "times of refreshing."
Jesus said He came so that we might have life --and have it more abudnantly, not just someday, but beginning now.
When this age ends, does it really mean the last song has been written, the last painting finished, the last city designed? Or is eterjity the beginning of creation without limits?
In the twinkling of an eye ... with one command from Jesus -- a new heaven, a new earth, the New Jerusalem coming down out of heaven, alive, radiant, bustling with life. Jesus Himself, takes residence with His people. God with us...Forever. I can only imagine.
