Over the years, many people have asked Pastor Hatcher, these questions: how does God speak, or how do you know it is God who is speaking to you? In St. John 10:27, the Lord says: "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me." So God has a voice, and He does talk to His people. God never seems to talk, just to be talking, but He speaks when it is necessary, and when He has an important message for His people. One might ask: Can God speak to someone before he has been saved, and filled with the Holy Spirit? The answer is yes, of course He can. He knows all, and sees all, and He can do all. Pastor Hatcher states that one of the keys to hearing God speak is first, you must believe that He can speak to you personally. Also, walking in obedience to God is essential. The Lord could, speak to us anytime, but normally, when the Lord was about to speak to her, especially if it was something major; He first approached her, that is, He walked up to her, and basically touched her on the shoulder. She could normally sense God's presence before she heard Him speak. Pastor Hatcher admits that she has not always been obedient to God, in any given situation, but she has always believed Him, and eventually; she obeyed Him. About The Author

Sister Theresa Hatcher is an ordained Evangelist and Pastor. She was born in January 1948 in Jena, Louisiana. Born of Levi Charlie Bethley Hatcher, Jr. and Mary C. Hatcher. She attended Southern University for one year and the University of Nevada. Later, she received a Master of Theology from Covington Theological Seminary in Rossville, GA. Pastor Hatcher accepted the Lord as a child. She was baptized in water at the age of twelve and filled with the Holy Ghost at the age of twenty. She has been in ministry since, working and ministering for over thirty years. Pastor Hatcher worked overseas for the U.S. Department of State. In addition to Pastor Theresa Hatcher's native language of English, she also speaks French and Spanish.
