Overview

At sixteen years old, I entered a marriage marked by severe physical, emotional, financial, and sexual abuse. For years I believed the lies those experiences planted inside me. Healing Generations: One Breath at a Time is the story of how those lies were uncovered and released—and how anyone can break the patterns that travel through families and shape our lives. Healing Generations, is nonfiction presenting the truths of how our mental, emotional, spiritual and physical aspects are all tied together: what impacts one impacts the others. Our realities are genetically inherited, and then amplified by our belief systems, our culture and our social environment. The self-healing process will include the choice to go into our past, no matter how dark it may be, to release the lies, live in the present and move forward; instead of the decision to stay status quo. It will take effort and willingness, but without the internal change one will wonder why life isn't as they say they want it to be, why it continues to repeat the untoward past. While the experiences I share are factually accurate, the associations about life, others and who I truly am were formed out of the events and not necessarily based in Truth. Thus, some of the content is absolutely fiction, made up by my own perceptual reality of what has happened in my life. The subtitle One Breath at a Time is exactly how we will be released from our demons. This journey toward self-healing, this undoing, is a process that doesn't happen overnight. But we are not alone on this pathway to healing. If we remove the blinders of our own hostility and fear, we will see others walking the same path beside us. Together we will make it, the question is: "Will you come with me?"

Description

In this book you will discover how emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual patterns become woven together and passed through generations. You will also learn practical tools that can interrupt those patterns and restore a deeper experience of peace, clarity, and Love. Through breath awareness, forgiveness practices, and a deeper understanding of how perception shapes experience, this book offers a path toward releasing old emotional burdens and returning to the truth of who we were created to be. Healing does not happen overnight. It unfolds slowly, one realization and one breath at a time. If you have ever wondered whether the pain in your family line can end with you, this book offers both hope and a practical path forward. The question is not whether healing is possible. The question is simply: Will you take the first breath? I took on false beliefs about myself that continued to manifest in my life until I finally chose to face the inner demons. This book also includes the tools I teach for how to cancel goals and release the false beliefs and return to the Being I was created to be - Love.

About The Author

With a BA in Psychology, I am a creative educator and guide with over 30 years of teaching experience. I am a practitioner in the fields of Creative Spiritual Direction, self-healing, healing through relationships, anger and grief resolution, stress management, identifying purpose, and especially the inner process of forgiveness. Over the years, I have developed an uncanny intuitive ability to touch people where it hurts and then, with expert guidance, support the healing of issues hidden—perhaps for lifetimes. I assist my eternal partner, Dr. Michael Ryce, in travel workshops and residential intensives at our teaching center in the Ozark Mountains and at retreat centers across the country. I also facilitate Healing the Whole Woman™ residential intensives and workshops. The primary focus of HTWW is on women's issues, particularly on moving past the experience of abuse. In my workshops, I address the whole person — physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. I offer one-on-one support services to men, women, and children—individually, as couples, or in groups. In sessions, I combine clear intellectual and spiritual direction with practical, workable tools to provide personalized guidance. My presentations have included private workshops as well as workshops in physicians' offices, prisons, mental health facilities, businesses, schools, and churches. I have facilitated women's retreats independently as well as on shared platforms with other speakers. I have also keynoted women's conferences and provided support services at a variety of other events. My work is for those who want to better understand how to turn crises into opportunities, conflict into serenity, and pain—whether physical, mental, or emotional—into healing, aliveness, and abundance. I address the underlying causes behind the effects that manifest in people's lives, homes, and workplaces. My curriculum is adaptable to the venue and the immediate needs of the audience. Above all, I provide effective tools that show each person how to move beyond merely surviving into living with delight and aliveness.
