About The Author
Joined the U.S. Coast Guard at 17 years of age. Spent early years on fast response search and rescue boats, seven years on larger Coast Guard Cutters traveling all the oceans of the world, including an icebreaker which plied the frozen oceans of the Arctic regions is well as a 6 month trip to the Antarctic. Spent one year in the Southeast Asia Vietnam war theater. Retired after 23 years. Worked for a northern California police department as a Field Evidence Technician for five years. Then became a U.S. National Park Service Ranger working 13 years in the rumbling sulfuric smelling setting of Lassen Volcanic National Park in northern California. Don is now retired and lives in northern California with his wife and two dogs.
