Grace That Delivers

From a giant and a boy, to a talking donkey, to a demon, and a horrible father, the Scriptures confront readers with fantastical stories and refuse to apologize for it. These are not presented as myths, moral lessons, or imaginative religious reflections. They are the true acts of the living God entering history to reveal His character, His covenant, and His saving purposes. As children, the sanitized stories we may have heard made it easy to look past the deeper truths they present. But if we give them a chance and perhaps listen to them for the first time with adult ears, they reveal much about ourselves and God. This book gives us that chance.
