Gil Qua-Jo Yeboah is the founder of G. Q Media sports illustrations. Gil was born in London, England. His love for writing and creative arts was very evident at a very young age. He began writing poems at the age of 13, and he still writes them to this day. He studied Business & Finance in college, and after he graduated, he worked for many years as a Business Manager, while pursuing his dream as a songwriter and a music producer. Gil went on to win many music awards and was featured in many high profile magazines and made several appearances on television (BBC, ITV, Channel 4 & 5), and was the main guest on a BBC’s Christmas morning special. He has also been featured on various radio stations across England. In the year 2000, Gil got married and moved to California, USA. He is a proud father of a nine-year-old boy, Zion. While reading to his son every night, Gil became interested in writing and illustrating children’s books. One day his son wanted to read chapter books that involved playing soccer, and the choices were limited. That is when Gil realized he had found a new book market, and started writing and illustrating books on soccer. Growing up with Chas and Dave is a series that will do exactly as the title says: grow up with the two main characters of Chas and Dave. It is a true to life tale of two boys who are curious and adventurous, and love the game of soccer. The series is based on Gil’s own son (Zion) and his best friend. Gil explains it this way, “ I wanted to created a real life story, told in a chapter book with colorful pictures, for children to enjoy reading, while learning about the beautiful game of soccer.” With a National Coaching License for Soccer, and many years of playing the beautiful game, Gil is more than qualified on the subject. This series of books will use the concepts of Soccer to teach STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), along with History and Geography. The young reader will have fun reading and learning throughout this series. For more information and to stay connected, visit G.Q Media online at www.geeqm.com or send an email to: info@geeqm.com
