Futurality

I wrote my first story in first grade. My horrible chickenscratch handwriting made it impossible for anyone to read it, and for some reason I didn’t have the foresight to pursue word processing or self-publication options. The story was about time travel. I remember that I got to meet the Jetsons, as well as some Dinosaurs (Dinosaurs are awesome, I highly recommend them if you get the chance, and a working time travel apparatus). In high school, I wrote two full length novels, a fantasy novel (after a full rewrite it become Bareloth, an award winning novel I wrote for my senior thesis in college) and a science fiction novel called Futurality. I also took classes in poetry and fiction writing and wrote dozens of poems and short stories. Other than writing, I spent most of my time in high school boxing (my amateur record was 2-1-1), running track, playing xbox, reading, and waiting for college. The wait was brutal. But it was well worth it. In 2007, I moved to Philadelphia where I attended the University of the Arts. I wrote two novels while I was at UArts, a horror story called Vengeance and a fantasy novel called Bareloth. My work with Bareloth won me the University’s Jean Baker Memorial Award for Excellence in Writing. In 2011, I received a B.S. in Communication with a minor in Creative Writing. Today, I still live in Philly. I work at a nightclub in center city as a bouncer, and as a personal boxing trainer during the day (go to jboxing.com for more on that). Even with those two jobs, my real title is author, and I pursue my dream to the fullest, every day.
