This is the story of a young boy that was 'born to fly' It tells of his early days as an Apprentice in the Royal Air Force, His service flying training and eventually on to the 'hotest' nuclear fighter bombers in the inventory.

About the author

The author lived his dream. He joined the Royal Air Force as a boy at the age of 151/2 and served for thirty years, mainly as a jet fighter pilot in both the RAF and the Royal Canadian Air Force. During his career he flew thousands of hours on dozens of aircraft types. He tells tales of some of his more memorable flights and presents an insight into the human interest aspects of the job. Now retired he lives in Vancouver, Canada and still maintains close contact with various air force associations and spends his time raising money for Air Cadets and veterans organizations.
