Overview
Fleetfoot's Rise is a celebration of Lane County, Oregon – honoring the region's rich tradition in track and field and its strong social service sector. The story follows Finnley Von Fleetfoot, Last of the Light Launchers, as she attempts to navigate a daunting set of challenges and bring hope back into the wintery darkness of Oregonia. The book emphasizes how each of us can amplify the innate light of others, and foster their fullest potential. Sales of the book benefit Friends of the Children – Lane County, an organization that helps local children facing the most significant challenges dismantle cycles of disadvantage by providing them a long-term professional mentor (a "Friend") for 12 years.
