Description

Through Fiddley Dee, children are empowered to meet life's inevitable setbacks, embarrassments, and disappointments with courage, confidence and optimism. About The Author

Raised in Virginia, Gloria Thrall was a teacher and school counselor for over 30 years. After raising her own children and working with generations of students, she continues to be passionate about sharing the joy of reading with young people. Gloria started writing Fiddley Dee over forty years ago and completed the story with her daughter-in-law after the birth of her two granddaughters. Gloria lives in Boulder and is a member of the Boulder Chorale and the Boulder Rotary Club.  She teaches T'ai Chi Chih to students in Boulder and surrounding communities. She is excited to share Fiddley Dee with a new generation of young learners.

Sara Thrall grew up in rural Colorado spending many happy years exploring the great outdoors with her siblings and their menagerie of animals. She lived, studied and worked around the world before returning home to the mountains. Now, as her own family grows, she looks forward to sharing the joy and wonder of nature with her young daughters--gardening and camping and exploring, oh my! Through relatable trials, tribulations, and hands-on outdoor adventures in her books, she hopes to encourage that same joy, wonder, independence, grit, and self-discovery in all children. Sara and her husband now live in the foothills of Boulder, CO with their beloved daughters, two dogs, and a number of four-legged fosters from a local dog rescue. We'd love to hear what you think of our books and look forward to sharing many more to come!
