About the author
Steve Sugrim in an award-winning international photographer, video producer and writer based in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Travelling to such places as Tanzania, Morocco, Peru, Mexico, Ecuador, and Haiti, he takes his cameras to record and tell the stories that need to be heard. He has captured moments like millions of migrating monarch butterflies on the verge of extinction, struggling families living on the sides of mountains, rebuilding efforts after a devasting earthquake, to hopeful Moroccan youth starting their careers. In his 'spare time', he opened up a daycare center to provide quality care for over 100 local children in need. Steve is also an accomplished music producer / bass player, with several CDs and music videos (some on iTunes). He has published several books, including a recent children's book called 'Fender Finds A Way'.
