Ezie and Ernie and the wonder hamster

Ezmerelda and Earnest ( known to family and friends as "Ezie" and "Ernie" ) are siblings who on ordinary days, at ordinary times, are asked for help from unexpected places.The requests take them from the comforts of their homes to mystical lands. Always trying to do the "right thing", they find themselves meeting an array of fantasical characterrs along the way. Drawing on all their intellect and ingenuity, the siblings must solve whatever problems they face. With a shared love of adventure and a trust in each other, they overcomer every obstacle they encounter and ultimately make their way home to their loving parents.

In this first book of the series, Ezie and Ernie rescue a bedraggled hamster who needs help in rescuing her village from destruction. Ezie and Ernie are led into the land of the "in-betweeen" - not"here nor there" - and along the way encounter the Fire Queen who holds a key that will release a powerful dragon from captivity.There are many tasks that the Fire Queen requires from Ernie, Ezie and the Wonder Hamster before she will release the key. Completing the tasks requires courage, trust and ingenuity as the three travelers go on their separate journeys of discovery before coming back together to reach the Hamster Hamlet. Ultimately, the hamsters, who have been frozen in time, are freed and the Dragon is tasked with the safe return of Ezie and Ernie back to their home.

I am a recently retired Otolaryngologist, married to an (also recently retired) Acupunturist. We have three children and 4 grandchildren and live in the Washington,D.C. area. I started my practice as a solo practitioner after serving as a Major in the U.S.Army and built the practice into one of the largest Ear,Nose and Throat/Head and Neck Cancer practices in the Washington-Baltimore corridor. In addition to writing, I love to cook and am an avid gardener. I cycle regularly and have practiced Yoga for over 30 years. I have loved telling my children and grandchildren fantastastical adventure stores and at the urging of my beloved wife have turned them into a a series of 4 books. Ezie and Ernei and the Wonder Hamster is the first book in the series.
