About The Author

Jerry Dixon was raised in a country home north of Amarillo, Texas. Growing up, he often explored the hills and dirt roads looking for arrowheads, old railroad spikes, and horned toad lizards. His curiosity and imagination led him to an interest in creating stories. Though he never committed to writing a full book, Jerry kept track of his ideas in notebooks intending to finish them another time. After high school, Jerry joined the Army, entered the field of electronics, and was stationed on a base in Arizona. While serving, he met his wife Teri, and together they raised 5 kids and now have 13 grandkids. After moving back to Amarillo with Teri, they had a successful career as business owners until they retired. Over the years, the desire to write grew, and with the encouragement of his wife, "another time" has finally come. Jerry's debut book, "Billy Rush and the Leaf Mite Adventures," is the first published of his collection. When he is not writing, he enjoys sharing the Gospel of Christ and spending time with his family.
