About the author
Mike Robbins is a journalist turned development worker. He is also the author of Even the Dead are Coming (2009), a memoir of Sudan; Crops and Carbon (2011), on agriculture and climate change; two other works of fiction, The Lost Baggage of Silvia Guzmán (2014) and Three Seasons (2014); and The Nine Horizons (2014), a pen-portrait of some of the countries in which he has worked and travelled since 1987. He is currently in New York.
