Description

Experience this liminal doorway to a wealth of readily available nightly information. After reviewing her dream journals stashed in an old clothes hamper during the COVID-19 lockdown, Madison felt compelled to share her experience. The author's journey into self-discovery, told through her dream world, brings to life a deeper understanding of her shadow self, childhood trauma, her spiritual awakening, and the grief from the sudden death of her husband of thirty-eight years. She also highlights the prevalence of precognitive dreams and how she has used them as navigational tools throughout her life. Interspersed throughout the book are thirty-three original works from six artists that amplify the visceral, dreamlike experience.

Diving Before Dawn This might be one of the only book reviews I've written, But this book needs lauding! Besides being a wonderful resource for understanding our deeper points of experience, this book is one of the best dream interpretation resources I've come across in my meandering and lengthy quest for self-understanding. Its also a warm and comforting read before bed, my favorite time with a book, as I feel that I know the author well after all she shares, and looked forward to our visits, as with a friend. Thank you, Sandi Madison, Read more

Nuggets of Gold Sandi’s dreams are succinct yet lyrical, to the point yet expressive, conveying her experiences without overloading the reader with detail. She has painted her understanding of each dream with the same brush, focussing on the nuggets of gold rather than fleshing out every aspect of the dream. The result is that we are drawn into Sandi’s waking world as much as into her dreams. We get to know her and appreciate how she has traversed life’s challenges and opportunities. Sandi also touches upon universal themes and wisdoms making this an excellent book to keep handy to dip into on a daily basis.  I can only imagine how tough it was for Sandi to select only these dreams from all her journals, and to whittle both her dreams and reflections down to the right-sized chunks to keep readers engaged and enthralled. Readers will be able to absorb her techniques and apply them to their own dreams. - Jane Teresa Anderson, author and podcast host: The Dream Show Read more

Diving Before Dawn Sandi has written a fascinating book on her dream interpretation logs spanning 50+ years. The use of interpreting animals, symbols, feelings from her dreams into psychological help for her evolutionary process. She lived off the grid for 18 years while raising a family, working and creating businesses like sending books to Africa for poor people and a periennial seed garden. A multifaceted woman: a dancer; a mother; a wife and an actress on radio and on the stage in Western Washington. The dreams pointed her in the direction to overcome childhood negative behavior patterns through her dreams. She pulled herself up by the bootstraps when her partner of 38 years suddenly died. This renegade woman is a crafty wordsmith. The book shows you how you, too, can interpret your dreams for healing. It's a page turner. I didn't want to put it down. Where is your vacquero? Push yourself to grow! You can do it, too. Read more
