Description
This book explains how gun control advocates hope to redfine the Second Amendment through legislative and judicial actions. Using photographs to illustrate, it provides a concise analysis of why AR-15 bans violate the Constitution and the strategies of those who would ignore or circumvent the law to diasarm responsible Americans. The Appendix contains court cases statutes and other sources that give the facts and set forth the law on this controversial topic. The right to keep and bear the widely owned civilian version of our Military's standard service rifle has come under heavy assault because of misuse by a few criminally insane young men. President Obama, Vice President Biden, some lawmakers, and a few judges, along with a substantial number of citizens and members of the media oppose ownership of modern firearms. These opponents use the victims of horrible crimes to support highly emotional arguments to promote legislation that outlaws semiautomatic rifles and pistols, as well as their magazines. The book also identifies the legal arguments and fact findings used by by the D.C. courts to uphold one of these bans, despite its obvious violation of the Second Amendment.
