About The Author

Martha grew up on Long Island, New York. At the time, and it was not THAT long ago, it was potato fields, dirt roads and big drive-in theaters. Nature was all around. She was always driven to writing, and after her children were born, this book was conceived. Somehow, life always got in the way of putting these thoughts on paper, but, she never forgot the words of her story. They came back to her when her grandson was born. She felt other parents and grandparents shared her sentiments. This book is for her family, and for all families, no matter how they came to be.
