Description

Abandoned by her life partner and struggling to stay afloat, Fern Marie Shillingford takes in a lodger, hoping to steady her life. Instead, her choice sets in motion a nightmare that ends in her disappearance—and exposes a far darker truth than anyone imagined. She had been kidnapped and murdered. What begins as a single homicide case quickly widens into a chilling investigation of women targeted through online ads. As patterns emerge in the victims, the methods, and the scenes left behind, two detectives must confront a predator who hides in plain sight.
