Mac was promoted to detective and received various departmental commendations. However, a covert operation went badly, exposing poor communications between precincts and resulting in an officer's death. The events forced Mac to reevaluate her career with PPD. Fortunately for her, an unexpected opportunity presented itself, making the transition from public servant to entrepreneur less complicated. Mac's ability to convincingly portray someone else served her well, but now she must discover her identity. Will Mac's efforts be rewarded, or will past specters reappear, putting her in danger?

She pursued several careers, which provided her with many life experiences, some treasured, some not, but are the experiences she continually draws upon.
