About the author
Robert Hirons: As a long-time supervisor in the workplace Robert has seen the best and worst of behaviour as company employees tried to improve their status. When he became a foreman, his found out his supervisor operated under the assumption that the best way to achieve the desired results was to be a bully. The foremen in his department had to work under these conditions or lose their jobs. His son also experienced bullying first-hand. At school his son was a target of bullies because of his size. He didn’t want his father to think he was a sissy, so he never mentioned it at home. At that time, (much like too many schools today) there was no policy in place at school to deal with the problems he faced on a daily basis. Robert was never told this until they discussed the book Dale was working on, and that was when Robert became involved in the project.
