What is it you plan to do with your one, wild and precious life? This is the book which encompasses all of life, joy, sorrow, regret, loss, on solitude, advice on how to live life fully, … It is both very personal, talking about her sadness from her mother’s passing to her pride at her daughter’s growths as a person, and at the same time she aims at underlying life truths that are relatable to everyone, trying to bring a reader to answer, or better yet ponder the ever present question: Why? Why are we alive and how should we live? Why what we do matters? "When we devote time to creating beauty, we receive beauty. And so I began considering how I might live if this were true. How would I enter into each interaction? What words would I speak? How would I show up? Whom would I be when no one was looking? Who would I be to my employees, my team, my friends, family, or the Homeless man on the corner? Every moment is holy, all of life is an offering, your offering, Dear." Ms. Hoelzle is a teacher, helping people on every stage their life journey to start business and succeed at it. Her philosophy of success in business and finding one’s “sweet spot” in life is clearly reflected in her book. "And along the way, I learned, Dear. I learned the only way to suck the marrow from life is to give and then give some more. I also learned to open myself up and ask for what I needed, to receive the blessings others were born to share. Give. Give. Give. Ask, Dear." Read more

Had me to tears! A MUST READ Pam, you are a ROCKSTAR in "my book"! I love that you have taken the time to write this book for your daughter, to share your wisdom, to share your love. Just reading your introduction brought me to tears and they never stopped. There is so much unsaid in this world and I commend you for being brave enough to not only share it with her but to share it with us. This is a MUST READ for everyone. Thanks so much Pam! Read more

A true gift from someone truly gifted! She introduces this as letters written to her children. It was also letters written to me, BOTH AND. Pam speaks to all of us who struggle with the challenges, to make sense of the experiences, and to make the most of our one wild and precious life. Each letter stands on its own. Each connects experiences that are uniquely hers with truths, perspectives and understanding that we can all learn from. Throughout, she inspires us to recognize, celebrate and embrace the Rockstar we were born to be. A book to be read often. A book to be shared with those you love, work with, and live in community with. Read more

Mesmerizing. Hopeful. Honest. A Must-Read! I couldn’t put this book down! As soon as I finished reading it (the first time) I went back to revisit the individual letters that particularly resonated with me. Through life’s ups and downs and in-betweens, the author’s sage advice is wrapped in layers of love, hope and grace. Reading it lifted my spirits and inspired me to keep growing, giving, and fully experiencing this one precious life. I couldn’t help but wish I had this book as a young adult. I will be getting a copy for each of my daughters and I think it’ll make perfect high school or college graduation gifts. I just want to thank author Pam Hoelzle for writing this and sharing it with the world, and also hats off to Alicia Feinberg whose illustrations match so perfectly with the book’s content and vibe. ❤️ Read more

Absolutely amazing! This book is so beautiful! As a college student away from home, missing my family, it felt like my mom was speaking to me through the book. It is truly a book you don't want to put down. The words and illustrations were crafted so beautifully and I can't wait to see what else the author and illustrator publish! Read more

Love, love, love this book! When I first opened this book, I thought it would be a standard “directive of life” book belonging on a coffee table or waiting room shelf. It is not. Dear Rockstar is the book I have wanted to write to MY children… The author did it in a genuine, informative, and loving way. And better than that, she wrote it not just for the daughters of the world but also for the sons. And the moms. I have a new gift “Go To” book! Love everything Ms. Hoelzle had to say and the corresponding illustrations by Ms. Feinberg nailed it! Read more
