Reid Morgan is less than thrilled about sailing across the ocean to meet her partner's brother, Laird and his wife Sylvia. Laird, a doctor and Sylvia, a teacher, are jungle missionaries who run a medical clinic and school in a breath-taking village called Paradise Point. Once Reid arrives in Paradise Point, she is mesmerized by the surroundings and quickly becomes one with the landscape. A herd of wild elephants, led by a large matriarch named Moma, soon captures her heart. A wealthy British plantation owner lives next to the clinic and is having problems with some of the elephants devastating his crops. When he hires a professional game hunter to help him eradicate them, it sets the village citizens on edge as they want to protect the sacred creatures. Drama escalates when the body of a young volunteer is found, the matriarch elephant is wounded and an attempt is made on Sylvia Johnson's life, leading Reid Morgan to ride out and bring the killer to justice while helping to protect the sacred herd.
