About the author
Katricia Eaglin is a Dallas native where her passion for dance was fostered at West Dallas's C.F. Carr Elementary. Katricia began her formal training and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance, a minor in Business Foundations from the University of North Texas, and a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies from Dallas Theology Seminary. While attending the University of North Texas, Katricia founded Freedom Dance Ensemble, produced annual productions, and performed around the Dallas metroplex for three years. Freedom Dance Ensemble encouraged her enthusiasm for teaching, dance, and choreography. Katricia eventually dissolved the company to pursue becoming a full-time performing artist. Katricia's dance company experience includes Kukosa Kuunga Phase II, Nia Dance Theatre, Muscle Memory Dance Theatre, 6 o'clock Dance Theatre, Dallas Black Dance Theatre's apprentice company, and Dallas Black Dance Theatre. Katricia has been in Dance Magazine twice, noted as a CW33 Woman To Know, and D Magazines' next generation of Black leaders in the arts. As a certified life coach through Coach Training Alliance and a licensed minister from the Concord Church, Katricia enjoys partnering with clients to help them realize their goals.
