Description
Mattie wanders into the kitchen and catches her Daddy about to dig into one of their favorite meals all by himself, a mound of cheesy macaroni. Can Mattie convince her dad to share? And what happens when her twin sisters show up? Told in playful rhyme, Mattie's excitement, creativity, and cooking skills are tested to their limits. She learns that taking over lunchtime and keeping everyone happy means fast thinking, hard work, and recognizing the efforts of others.
About the author
Len David Mormino has been a writer for music, lyrics, theater, children's books, counseling, and education since 1993. As a community and school counselor working professionally with youth and families since 1993, he has had the opportunity to continue to stay in touch with the hearts and language of children. In the Chicago area, he grew up in a fun-loving Jewish-Italian home that had all of the music, noise, food, and chaos that one can handle. Len made the move to a neighboring suburb of his wife’s hometown of Madison, Wisconsin in 2000, where they still reside. Storytelling as a father to his 3 daughters over the past decade, Len is committed to writing children's books, music, and educational resources for the young at heart. He is grateful for the opportunity to help adults and youth connect, laugh, and explore life’s lessons together.
