Rev. Claire A. Middleton was born in Yonkers, NY and at an early age began to read the bible and question why certain principles were not being taught. She began to explore various denominations and in college she continued to search different religions to find answers to some of the burning questions she had. She received her B.S. degree in Biology from Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio and went on to Brooklyn College to receive her MA degree in Urban Education. Rev. Middleton worked as a radio isotope technician and then taught for over thirty years in New York and, later, in Charlotte, NC. She found Religious Science over 25 years ago and immediately began to see the thread of truth she had found in her studies throughout the years. She founded the Center for Spiritual Living –COLORS (formerly known as The Church of Light of Religious Science in 2001). It is a member of Centers for Spiritual Living.
