Overview

The white farmers in late twentieth century South Africa who were under siege, took up arms to protect themselves and their volk.

Description

As South Africa capitulated to the UN embargoes and pressure from the global controlling interests, many white farmers stood up and refused to give in to the terrorists. Those such as Johan Kator used their military training to protect those in their community who could not do so themselves. The result was an ongoing struggle between the farmers who had to make a living, and the terrorists who's only consideration was to run all the whites into the sea. In the modern world of twentieth century white South Africa the desperate struggle involves every member of the family, and their need to survive.

About the author

Charles Callaway was born in London during the Second World War. He and his family lived through the bombing of London and the austerity of post war-time England. He and his wife, with their two daughters, emigrated to South Africa in 1974. Having lived in various towns in the then Transvaal and the Eastern Cape they spent the latter years in South Africa on a small farm in the newly named Gauteng. Much of this book is based on the experiences gained during this time. The family eventually moved to Australia, where they now live.
