Dr. Lisa Trentin specializes in the visual culture and social history of ancient Rome. She has studied ancient art, especially sculpture, and its modern reception throughout her career. She has presented at numerous national and international conferences, accepted leadership roles within the academy (formerly President of the Women’s Network for the Classical Association of Canada) and is a published author (out now: "The Hunchback in Hellenistic and Roman Art", Bloomsbury, 2015). She has worked in the Departments of Historical Studies and Visual Studies at the University of Toronto Mississauga, Canada, teaching courses in classical art, civilization, history, and myth.
