Overview
In the age of dinosaurs, naps make kidosaurs roar! But when Chappie no longer needs to nap, it's not the same for her brother Chap. Trouble erupts in the cave requiring magical events to return life to a new normal. Adorable characters, clever rhyme, and engaging illustrations gently approach growing and change. The tale ends with a timeless surprise for parents and children to share.
Description

Kidosaur twins, Chap and Chappie, enjoy a daily routine. Together with pets Turtle and Seal, they help Mamaosaur wash dishes, catch "fishes," and play outdoors. At naptime, it's back to the cave. They each select a book, climb into bed, and Mamaosaur reads them to sleep. Everything changes when Chappie stops napping. Chap stays awake too, but becomes sad and grumpy. Mama and Daddyosaur wish on their miracle box for help. Whimsical happenings show that nap routines can be different. And any nap can make a kidosaur feel stronger, roar louder, and be happy! The book is 8 ½" x 8 ½" soft cover. Printing is two-page spreads with a full bleed. The story offers parents opportunities to discuss daily routines – play, chores, nap time, and bedtime routines.

About the author
Patty Mete loves to rhyme! Chap's Nap is Patty's debut children's picture book and the first in a trio of dinosaur tales. The 32-page, ten-minute read-aloud rhyme entertains with fantastic illustrations and huggable anthropomorphic dinosaur characters. The energy of six grandchildren inspired "Kidosaur" aha moments and subtle learning experiences. Is the best part of Chap's Nap waking up full of roars or the surprise waiting for him? Or both? Before creating dinosaur tales, Patty kept busy as a quality analyst, division manager, marketing manager and creative director –making her precise, hands-on, spirited, and fun!
