The second book of The Brimmerverse series is set about fifty years after Behold All the Dwellers Upon Earth. Charlie, grandson of Nathan Brimmer, the hero is the first book, is about to take on an exciting new role, but there is unrest in what is otherwise a peaceable kingdom. He needs the help of his amazing uncles, David and James-William, who guided him in using the family's supernatural abilities, but they have not been seen since a tragedy over twenty-five years earlier. The main story is interspersed with flashbacks that fill in the saga of the Brimmer family over the intervening decades.

He has the support of his mother, his sisters, his husband Alex, and his Uncle Paul, but the brewing crisis is beyond their capabilities. Charlie seeks the help of his amazing and mysterious uncles, David and James-William, who guided him in using the family's supernatural abilities while he was growing up, but they have not been seen since a tragedy over twenty-five years earlier. With Paul's help, he implores them to return to their family to assist in their hour of need. The main story is interspersed with flashbacks that fill in the saga of the Brimmer family over the intervening decades.

John Merullo is a native of Massachusetts. He had a 23-year career as a public librarian, specializing in programming for adults and management. He lives in Houston with his husband, George, their adopted teenage son, their dogs, Paul and Ringo, their cat, Pete, and John's mother, Mary. He enjoys cooking, baking, reading, watching old movies and classic TV shows, and choral singing.
