Description

Saint Patrick of Ireland, born into British nobility and kidnapped into Irish slavery, was a man of tremendous courage and humility. He found his faith in bondage and used it to escape captivity, ultimately returning to a savage land to do the impossible: He brought Christianity to thousands of souls at "the edge of the world." His physical legacy, his own written words, are woven throughout Breastplate, bringing the ring of truth to this work of fiction. Here are pagans, pirates, Druids, schemers—as well as holy saints of the fifth century--all part of Patrick's remarkable true story.
