Description
"Book Stolen From a Demon" tells the story of a Jny, a 13-year-old student who is the only child of a seemingly normal family. Jny suffers from the usual juvenile problems that other kids face. However, he can never let go of a troubling feeling that he isn't a normal person, and everyone knows it but never will tell him.
One day, Jny is confronted with strange occurrences that reference lost, mysterious objects. He also meets a schoolmate, Ann, who experienced something similarly strange with an old painting. The paintings on the canvas change and provide guidelines that youngsters learn and interpret. Their research reveals the lives of their parents, the secrets of the area, and the operation of an illegal company.
When they come across a total of three magical objects, the painting, a book, and a statue, Jny and his friends find themselves embarking on mythical adventures in which they are in proximity with dark demonic forces. In their fight against the demonic enemy, the youngers uncover the secret of the magical objects and realize what's important in life.
This book covers very sensitive topics such as unhealthy parental relationships with prejudice, secrecy, excessive care, and LGBTQ-related issues. Beyond these issues, the most serious message of the novel involves the real power of otherness. The diversity and equality of these characters demonstrates the power of otherness.
