About The Author

Victor Yong Jen Ong is Malaysia's best-known authority on East Asian-Jewish and Israeli-Chinese relations and continues to work on counterterrorism and anti-cyberterror initiatives. He was special liaison for the State of Israel to Malaysia in 2020 and 2021 and was part of the efforts to establish Israeli representation there, including an embassy. Earlier involvements comprised graduate research in global peace at Harvard University, eastern Massachusetts, and duties in southern Malaysia as an educator. Additionally, he taught WWII studies and wrote the semi-autobiographical "Daughter of Palestine," which disrupted the news cycle in Southeast Asia and Taiwan. Victor became a Palestine advocate with the Republican Party in Texas in 2022, until his arrest by pro-Palestinian forces in Malaysia in December 2023 due to his earlier attempts to create an Israeli embassy. Victor Yong Jen explores the choppy waters of the Palestinian-Israeli divide and offers a unique perspective that comes from over a decade of experience in Muslim and Jewish communities.
