Lieutenant Sean Riley, a United States Coast Guardsmen was doing what his solumn oath asked of him, patrolling the seas, enforcing US regulations and saving lives. While observing offshore oil platforms, Riley and his crew aboard the Point Long Beach, discovered they were being watched, not the other way around. On shore, the Meridian Oil Company receives a blackmail note. Meridian Oil soon uncovers information that Exxon oil was also blackmailed. Exxon chose not to pay the ransome. In retailiation , the Exxon Valdez was run aground on Prince William Sound. Terrorists infected Meridian Oil Company's computer system with a virus. The virus instructed Meridian'soil platforms in the eco-sensitive Point Arguello Project to greatly increase operations. A navigation error and dense fog put a tanker out of the shipping lanes. About the author
Blount is an avid waterman, beach enthusiast, college professor and volleyball coach. He literally grew up playing beach volleyball, surfing and sailing in the warm waters of Southern California. Blount has raced sailboats since 1974 including 25 national and 5 world championship events. He has also been a part of the management teams for another 26 national and 18 world championships abroad including the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. Hobbies include surfing, sailing, hiking, skiing and woodworking.
