Mark Sloan, M.D., has been a pediatrician and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics for more than 25 years. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, and is one of the highest rated pediatricians in Kaiser Permanente's northern California region. His writing has appeared in the Chicago Tribune, the San Francisco Chronicle, Notre Dame Magazine, and many other publications. He lives in Santa Rosa, California, with his wife Elisabeth. They have two grown children.
