Author Introduction: - I am Dr Prabhat Das, MD, PhD, and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. I began my medical journey in India and have been practicing medicine in the United States for more than thirty-five years. Through all these years, my commitment has remained steady. To practice medicine with honesty, empathy, and respect. To treat patients not as cases, but as people. And to use whatever knowledge and experience I have gained to serve them with sincerity and care. That, more than anything else, defines my life in medicine. Medicine has been a lifelong commitment to learning, caring, and serving people at some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. I am trained in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Diseases, and Critical Care. My work has taken me from quiet clinic visits to intense hospital settings where decisions must be made quickly, thoughtfully, and with deep compassion. These experiences have shaped not only how I practice medicine, but also how I think about health, illness, and the human side of healing.
