Overview
Orin Kennedy, also known as
Daniel Fuchs, was born in
Brooklyn to a middle-class Jew-
ish family. He attended Forest
Hills High School in Queens and
later majored in drama at the
University of Miami. Upon re-
turning to New York, Kennedy
encountered an individual who
greatly influenced the future
course of his life. Following his
graduation from the New York
School of Interior Design, Dan-
iel was employed by the famous
designer Dorothy Draper.
Aspiring to become an ac-
tor, Daniel studied acting in the
evenings. He auditioned for the na-
tional company of The Lion in
Winter, making his stage debut
during the Detroit riots. Follow-
ing the tour, Daniel relocated to
Cincinnati, Ohio, where he
adopted the stage name, Daniel Landis.
He joined the Playhouse in the
Park repertory ensemble, where
he later taught drama. Seeking
new opportunities, Daniel, now
known as Orin Kennedy, relo-
cated to Los Angeles to pursue
a career in film acting. He sub-
sequently secured a position as
a television location manager,
collaborating on several award-
winning TV series by producers
David E. Kelley and Steven
Bochco. Daniel and his husband
of 50 years, Bernardo Puccio,
received international recogni-
tion for constructing a promi-
nent monument at Hollywood
Forever Cemetery as their final
resting place. Their award-
winning documentary, An Or-
dinary Couple, inspired by this
decision, continues to receive
Best Film Awards at festivals
worldwide. He now shares his
story from its beginnings, antic-
ipating future memorable chapters.
