"I was lost but now I am found. I was blind but now I see." These classic lyrics are meaningful for many people. However, for me they are lyrics of love and dedication to a God that rescued me from pornography and same sex attraction. At an early age, I was blind and lost in a spiritual wilderness that was full of mud, mire and tar pits that would hold me captive for more than 40 years. However, God had different plans and just as He led His chosen people, He led me through my own Exodus. Journey with me from the very beginning of my life to witness the lies and deceit of the enemy to the restorative and redeeming power that can only come from giving it all to God, obeying the voice of the Holy Spirit and coming to terms with the great love of Jesus Christ and what He did on the cross.

About The Author

Michael Julian was born in Norfolk, Virginia. At an early age, Michael began to notice he was different from other boys. With exposure to pornography and mild sexual experimentation, Michael started down a path of confusion, shame, condemnation and rejection from his peers that would leave him lonely and desperate for connection. However, God in His loving mercy would place people in Michael's life who would eventually aid him in his own 40 year exodus out of spiritual oppression of same sex attraction and pornography. By listening to the Holy Spirit, searching for the truth, and submitting to the love and salvation of Jesus Christ, Michael finally arrived to his promised land and found deliverance from many strongholds. Michael Julian resides in Chesapeake with his wife and daughter. Michael has worked as a special education teacher for more than 20 years and is pursuing a master's in spiritual formation. Michael hopes to start a ministry to help others facing spiritual strongholds and experience the transformative, redeeming and complete love of Jesus Christ that will reconcile them back to a holy, righteous and loving heavenly Father.
