About The Author

Joseph Creadle, RN, BSN, MSN, AGPCNP-BC, is a nurse practitioner whose calling was born long before he ever stepped into a classroom. From caring for loved ones to witnessing health disparities up close, Joseph learned early that the healthcare system is not always equal, and that strong advocacy can save lives. Guided by the love of the women who raised him and the patients who trusted him, Joseph made it his mission to teach people how to protect themselves, ask the right questions, and never accept less than the care they deserve. Joseph's passion comes from lived experience, not theory. He has stood beside families during their hardest moments, helped patients fight for answers, and seen firsthand how knowledge can turn fear into empowerment. His work reflects a deep belief: when people understand their health, they reclaim their power. This book is his dedication to every person who has ever felt overlooked, unheard, or dismissed, especially Black families and people of color. Joseph writes to give them what he wishes every patient could have: clarity, confidence, and the courage to advocate for themselves and the people they love.
