About The Author

Colleen Wuest is a retired NYS School Administrator (Director of Early Childhood), former NYS Pyramid Model Master Cadre trainer for social-emotional development and former President of the NYS Pre-K-3 Administrators' Association with over 32 years in education. She is a current NYS Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist serving prekindergarten and elementary children. Colleen lives in Holland Patent, NY with her husband Bill of 35 years. They have 4 grown sons, 3 daughters-in-law, and 4 granddaughters (with 2 more babies on the way!) who bring daily joy and motivation to assist other young families and their children's development. The best life lessons were taught by her father, therefore she hopes to be able to continue his legacy through a series of children's books. Teaching life-long social-emotional skills through the love of literature and practical strategies is a primary focus, and being able to include family members in the writing journey has only made this project more special.
