About The Author


Beginning his career in 1984, Greg gained early expertise in Electrical, Fire Alarm, Motor Control, and Complex Industrial PLC Control Systems before joining the US Navy's Advanced Electronics Program in 1990. He then specialized in HF/VHF/UHF/SHF/EHF Communications, Miniature PCB repair, Radar and Fleet Broadcast and Tactical Satellite Communications. Upon an honorable discharge he worked in the Satellite Communications field for Comsat World Systems as Sr. Engineer at the Clarksville, MD TTC&M earth station and TDMA reference site and Intelsat's Global Operations Center at their Washington DC Headquarters and later moved on to IT consulting for the federal government and commercial entities providing Software Engineering, Systems Performance Testing, and Systems Infrastructure Architecture services. With specialties in RF Terrestrial & Satellite Communications, Systems Integration/Migration, Systems Architecture, Network Infrastructure, and Data Center Operations, Greg is uniquely skilled in delivering comprehensive technology planning and execution. When not in a datacenter you can find him on-air via HAM radio call-sign W4GAP or off-road motorcycle riding in North GA.
