Overview
Ballet Moments is a coffee table e-book that is a first of its kind, breaking new ground with its innovative approach to publishing. Ballet Moments was created by the Danish photographer Susanne Holbaek Bjerg, who resides in South Africa, intertwining her life and career with local and foreign ballet /modern dancers these past 12 years. It is an artistic journey to another world of magical ballet beauty that will be embraced by art lovers, photography enthusiasts, dancers, ballet aficionados and everyman of all ages who loves beauty and needs a tonic to refresh and uplift their spirit and senses. This universal tale of beauty and grace is told by these photographic studies of dancers and illuminated by colour, light and expression - words are redundant. The ballet stars from around the globe narrate the story of their world and lives as it unfolds on stage and behind the scenes. It aims to introduce ballet, art and photography in a light and modern fashion. The carefully selected pictures depict a repertoire of some of the best loved fairy tales and ballet /dance productions performed by many prolific and famous dancers over a period of 12 years.
