Founded in 1999, Art Quilt Elements (AQE) 2024 is the 16th exhibition of this internationally acclaimed show set in suburban Philadelphia. This exhibition has been widely praised by reviewers and artists not only for exhibiting the quilts in a gallery setting but also for promoting the quilt as an art form. Juried by Carolyn Ducey, Ann Johnston and Bruce Pepich, this exhibition of art quilts includes work by fifty artists from the US, Australia, Brazil, Canada and Malaysia. The work juried into this exhibition embraces original and innovative methods and incorporates impressive craftsmanship and technical prowess. This beautiful 68-page exhibition catalog features a full-page image of each quilt accompanied by the artist's statement, as well as an introductory essay by Nancy Campbell, Wayne Art Center Executive Director. The AQE 2024 jurors introduce the exhibition with reflections on their selection process.
