My name is Hem, after teaching over 25 years, I'm a retired piano instructor. At age 77 it is my goal to continue my musical education. In 1976, I first started teaching in my home! I taught one student at a time. But my husband asked me to stop teaching at home. He said, "you need to teach at a school! I did as he asked me to do, I stopped! I didn't know at the time, but God made a way for me to continue teaching. I never dreamed it would be better than teaching at home! I'm so glad, I wasn't disappointed when my husband asked me to stop teaching at home. I accepted my husband's request as a challenge instead! When I got out of the house I experienced something new! Angels protected me every step of the way. Super naturally, things started happening to me for my good, when I stopped teaching at home! My husband didn't know it but, he did me a favor! I married at age 14, I have 4 adult children. My first grandchild was born when I was 35. I'm a grandmother of 7, a great-grandmother of 16, and a great-great-grandmother of 6! The doctor said I had cancer in 2002, she said, I had three months to live. God healed me! I'm here today to share my story! Praise God! When I was a professional nightclub dancer at age 19; I had a horrible experience that happened to me that changed my life forever! When you come from a family of praying parents, we must watch out! Prayer works! Thank God, they never gave up on me! The only time we can appreciate our parents is when we have children! I found out it's not easy to be a parent! I was 12 years old when my parents sent me away to a girl's school in Santa Rosa, California. I was the youngest girl there. I only ran away from home; I didn't commit a crime like the older girls did! Their ages ranged from 14 to 16. It was peer pressured that cause me to commit my first and last crime! It changed my life forever. While I was there, five girls tried to rape me with objects! But, my angels protected me! I learned life's lessons that didn't come from a book! I hope my book will help others to know we're not on this journey alone. We have angels to protect us from harm. God's word says, he'll never leave us nor forsake us! It's true!

Overview

When I began writing my biography in 2010, I prayed that the Holy Spirit would bring it back to my memory, and he did! I shared one of my story's in my English Class, while going to College at 65 years young. It was about " My Near-Death Experience." My Instructor in my English class had me to read it aloud in the classroom. My story touched the entire class! There was not a dry eye in the room. While I was reading it, I couldn't help but cry! My story inspired the editors so much they said it strengthened their faith. So, they encouraged me to write my story. I shared some of my stories with family, friends and co-workers; they said that I needed to write a book also! My oldest son said, he wanted me to write my story because he didn't get to know me when he was growing up! My husband's mother took him from me when he was 7 months old. She took him from me when I was 7 months pregnant and paralyzed! I have so many stories to tell, how sometimes we might want to give up on life! God can make a way out of no way for us. He can turn the bad things into good for us! He even sends his angels to protect us! I hope my story inspires others to know that God is real!

God fought my battles for me! 2 Chronicles 20:15, says, "And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude' for the battle is not yours, but God's." God and his angels are real! When we call on God, he will send his angels to protect us from harm! Psalm 91:11 says, "For he shall give his angels charge (responsibility)over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. How would we know God could solve our problems, if we never had one? Through adversity was when I found the greatness of God! That's when I knew I had angels protection! When we look for the good in our problems we can find it! If we look for the bad we can find that too! It's our choice to choose how we deal with every situation we face in life. Life doesn't happen by itself. We should choose life. Deuteronomy 30:19, 20, says, "I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed, may live; (Vs 20) That thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which God sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them. One of my favorite Scriptures is, Psalm 118:24, "This is the day which the Lord hath made, we will rejoice, and be glad in it. Therefore, we know that the Lord has made the day, but it's up to us to be glad in it! We have a choice to choose to be happy! I've learned that I can be happy when I choose to be. God promised that in his word! The legacy that my parents left to the family was they taught us the word of God! The word of God is priceless! For me the word of God is the best manual to live by. Only by grace, that's how I made it to age 77 is because of the relationship I have with our Creator! I give him all the glory for what I went through! I hope my autobiography will inspire others to live by God's Word. When we put God first in our life he will direct our path. His angels protect and guide us through our life's journey. According to Psalm 91:11 says it says, "For he shall give his angels charge over me to keep me in all my ways. That Scripture inspired me to title this story, "Angels Protected Me."
