About the author
Allen Itz is a second-life poet who began to write in college, then quit for 30 years, only to start again upon his retirement from a career in public service. He is now in his third retirement and writing poetry daily. Born in 1944 in deep South Texas, about ten miles from the Rio Grande River, he has lived in South Texas all his life, aside from his military service and other temporarily divergent side trips.
This is is third book, including a book in print, "Seven Beats a Second" and two previous eBooks, "Pushing Clouds Against the Wind" and "Goes Around, Comes Around."
His goal as a poet is to attract readers who might not otherwise make a habit of reading poetry.
