About the author
Todd Fox is the Managing Director of the Close Protection Corps, LLC, an international security firm specializing in Celebrity Protection. As a former US Marine and retired professional MMA fighter, security was a natural transition. In this case natural did not equate to easy. One challenge Todd found within the entertainment business was the lack of regulation and standard process. There were no courses or books that outlined the duties and responsibilities as they pertained to Celebrity Protection. He found that the artists and managers lacked understanding with respect to what exactly security was to do. In most cases, they believed in the stereo type of hiring big, mean, and aggressive men to intimidate would-be attackers. Sadly, we know this approach does not work against a trained adversary. From this point forward Mr. Fox decided to create a method and system which leads to the acceptable standard execution of Celebrity Protection.
